AED was founded in 1991 and for over 30 years it has stood as a reliable partner for overnight express deliveries and aftersales solutions. The network of own branches and the daily departures enable flexible feed-in of goods or timely distribution and delivery of goods in Austria and Eastern Europe.
Overnight express is the perfect solution for companies whose goods require a very short delivery time and reliable, fast delivery. For years, a wide variety of industries have relied on Lagermax AED's spare parts & after sales solutions.
In addition to the established overnight express, AED offers both day & on-time express solutions as well as highly specialized logistics solutions for time-critical spare parts. Thus, the complete supply chain in the after sales area can be covered.
Lagermax AED has 30 own branches in the CEE and so is always in control of all processes and decisions. In order to also serve international customers, Lagermax AED also works with regional overnight market leaders in Northern and Western Europe under the umbrella of ESLA – European Service Logistics Association. This collaboration allows us to resort to regional know-how and market knowledge and so to be able to provide customers across Europe with suitable, flexible and cost-effective spare pares and aftersales solutions.
Milestones
- 1991 Founded as Austria Ersatzteil Dienst (together with DANZAS)
- 1992 Introduction of roller containers as reusable containers
- 1993 Introduction of reusable boxes
- 1998 Area-wide track & trace for the entire overnight express network
- 2000 Austria Ersatzteil Dienst becomes Lagermax AED GmbH & Co KG and thus comes under the umbrella of the Lagermax Group
- 2003 Move into the current location of the branch in Vienna (Ailecgasse 36)
- 2004 1st expansion of the Vienna location, EU accession (CZ, SK, HU, SI), area-wide overnight express service in the entire region
- 2007 2nd expansion in Vienna, Terminal opening in Obertrum, New location in Kalsdorf near Graz
- 2009 Track & Trace extension to returned goods
- 2010 Track & Trace extension to reusable containers
- 2011 Foundation of ESLA (European Service Logistics Association) together with LPR, DANX and SLS, opening of terminal in Telfs
- 2012 GPS support for T&T
- 2014 Introduction of overnight express in Croatia
- 2015 Establishment of the EPN® (European PUDO® Network) product, the only nationwide manned pick-up drop-off network in Austria
- 2016 The bar of 5,000 shipments and 20,000 packages per day in the overnight express region (AT, CZ, SK, HU, SI) is exceeded
- 2017 Establishment of specialised spare parts logistics with 24/7/365 availability in Austria
- 2018 Expansion of logistics services through establishment of a nationwide FSL (Forward Stocking Location) network in Austria, Expansion of the CEE overnight express network to include Bulgaria and Romania
- 2019 Launch of Lagermax AED Aftersales app, start of aftersales logistics with FSL structure in the entire CEE
- 2020 Lagermax Group celebrates its 100th anniversary
- 2021 Lagermax AED celebrates its 30th anniversary
